A plane passenger has gone on the run after he allegedly attacked a police officer and cabin crew while drunk.
Brendan Lyons is said to have gone berserk during the flight from Muscat to London Heathrow on March 25.
The 34-year-old punched fellow passengers and staff causing a fight to break out on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Isleworth Crown Court heard.
A number of emergency responders descended on the packed vehicle seconds after touchdown, with police detaining Lyons for ‘endangering the aircraft’.
He is also said to have assaulted a policeman at Heathrow Airport - bringing the total number of alleged victims up to five.
Lyons, of Bedford, is charged with four counts of assault by beating, one count of being drunk in an aircraft and one of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He is also charged with one count of behaving in a threatening manner towards aircraft crew, one count of using threatening words likely to cause alarm, and one count of obstructing a constable in the execution of duty.
No pleas have been entered.
Lyons failed to attend court and Judge David Whittaker KC issued a warrant for his arrest.
