Shocking footage has captured the moment a gang pretending to be police officers violently robbed a man of a watch.
The robbery took place after a car crashed into multiple vehicles while reversing on College Road, Birmingham, at 2pm on Monday.
The incident was caught on a car dashcam, which showed the victim seemingly being punched in the face by one man, while being held around his neck by another.
A third man appears to steal his bag before he and the other alleged robbers flee in a black Skoda fitted with a siren and blue lights.
West Midlands Police said two vehicles were involved in the incident, which saw the victim robbed of his watch and food delivery items.
A post on social media also claimed the victim owns or works at a money transfer shop nearby and was carrying £60,000 when he was robbed. Reports also say he was targeted by someone who knew him.
A source said: 'This was a shocking incident. The victim clearly believed at the start they were real police officers.
'It's an area which has its fair share of issues so police being visible would not be a surprise. But then what happened after was truly worrying.'
