For most, reaching the ripe old age of 103 would be impressive enough - but it's not the end of Joan Partridge's impressive achievements, after she has become a social media sensation. The Redditch local is certainly not one to sit idly by twiddling her thumbs and instead gets up every morning, applies her make-up and tackles the day.
But never in her wildest dreams did she think such a normal task would turn her into an influencer.
The care home resident, who was born in Birmingham but lives in Worcestershire, has become a certified online beauty star after a video of her applying blush was viewed by more than 250,000 people on TikTok.
This glam centenarian, who lives in Millcroft Care Home in Redditch, went viral after taking part in a video showing off her routine.
Talking a member of staff through her products, Joan explained she applies her rouge using a powder pad and gently sweeps it across her cheeks, blending it in to the skin.
Having fun with the tutorial, Joan quipped that some people smile while doing it to highlight the apples of their cheeks - but she had 'that many wrinkles that she can't do that'.
The clip has become a hit, with commenters demanding to see 'more beauty influencers from this generation' and calling Joan a 'star'.
Among her other tips and tricks are hacks on application, with Joan telling viewers they don't need to use circular motions but can instead 'melt' the product in.
'And then you know when you've got enough!' she continued, adding: 'And if you think it's not enough, you can put some more on!'
Speaking to the BBC, the 103-year-old, who was able to look after herself independently until she was 102, said she was 'shocked and overwhelmed' at the response and never expected it to gain so much attention.
Millcroft's manager, Lyndsay Sard, also told the outlet that they only tried filming Joan after seeing all the other make-up tutorials on social media.
And now, her influencing career has truly kicked off, after a fan tagged the make-up brand Collection Cosmetics in the comments, leading to a collaboration and even a free gift.
'The make-up that she was using, somebody had tagged the company and said, "look, she's using your make-up",' Lyndsay explained.
'And the company then got in touch with us, which was really nice, to say how lovely it was to see Joan doing something like that.'
Annie Anstey, the marketing director at Collection Cosmetics, told The Guardian: 'We had to get in touch and gift her a range of our products so she could continue to share her inspirational beauty tips.
'We hope this collaboration inspires others – no matter their age, gender, sexuality, race and size – and shows that makeup and beauty looks different for everyone, there’s no right or wrong.
'Joan is the summer beauty icon we all need in our life!'.
The video has been flooded with positive comments with some praising Joan's beauty while others have said she has inspired them.
One user wrote: 'On an app full of terrible GRWM wannabes Joan is a shining star. More of this please!', while another said, 'I’ll think of Joan when I put on my blush!'.
One TikTok user commented: 'No way is she 103! She looks younger than me. What a lovely lovely lady, whenever I see these type of videos it always makes me want to move to care work'.
Make-up brand Collection Cosmetics also commented: 'How gorgeous does Joan look?'.
Others wanted more of Joan, writing: 'Can Joan do a series of how to’s? I’d watch them all,' and another commented, 'she's so therapeutic to watch'.
In another video, Joan, dressed in a pink blouse and navy cardigan unboxed her Collection Cosmetics parcel, shouting 'Oh my giddy aunt' as she rifled through the products.
Later in the clip she touched up her lipstick with a light-up compact mirror and revealed her favourite product was her go-to rouge.
And in another video with some other care home residents, Joan showed of a picture of herself when she was younger, hiding behind the black and white family photograph, before revealing her face as she grinned at the camera.
As of now, Millcroft - which only follows 11 accounts - has a whopping 1,779 TikTok followers, with some 38,300 likes across all videos.
