HORROR AS TEACHER IS FOUND DEAD IN CLASSROOM

A Tennessee high school has been forced to close down after a teacher was found dead inside a classroom. 

Munford High School was shut down early on Thursday morning after officers with the local police department made the shocking discovery. 

In a statement from the department, they said that there was no indication of foul play, and that no students had been on the school grounds at the time.

Chief Randal Baskin said: 'This morning, before the start of the school day, Munford Police Department responded to an emergency situation at Munford High School. 

'The situation has been contained, and all students and staff are safe. The school will remain closed for the day while our officers continue their investigation.

'We want to assure parents, students, and the community that there is no ongoing threat. Additional details will be provided as they become available.'

Since the police department shared the news on their social media pages, they have been inundated with individuals leave sympathetic comments. 

One person commented: 'My thoughts and prayers are with the school and all', with another adding: 'Prayers for the family, faculty and kids!! 

The identity of the staffer remains unknown at this time, with details regarding the cause still under investigation.
