FEMALE SPECIAL ED TEACHER ACCUSED OF ‘SENDING 25,000 TEXT MESSAGES TO 8TH GRADER SHE MOLESTED’

A former New Jersey special education teacher has been accused of sending 25,000 text messages to an eighth-grade student she allegedly molested.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 44, of Jackson, was indicted on Tuesday on seven counts of sexual crimes against an unidentified student, 15, whom she allegedly began abusing in January 2024, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Authorities discovered Havemann-Niedrach and the student exchanged more than 25,000 texts over the course of their relationship.

These messages showed the pair had a sexual relationship, including photos and videos of them engaging in risqué behavior, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Their relations allegedly took place in Havemann-Niedrach and in hotels, which the former educator purchased, financial records showed.

Her alleged victim originally denied any relationship with Havemann-Niedrach, telling investigators he was in a relationship with the teacher's daughter, but the lie was quickly dispelled.

He later confessed to his mother a few days later. She contacted authorities to inform them and her son was taken to the hospital for a psych evaluation.

Havemann-Niedrach was arrested on June 26. She was released on house arrest in July, where she was told she could not talk to any children except for her own two kids, and was not allowed access to a computer, the Asbury Park Press reported.

Assistant Prosecutor Danielle Zanzuccki previously said the teacher was 'obsessed' with the teen, and an investigation was launched after Freehold Intermediate staffers raised alarms.

A staff member saw the teacher rubbing the victim's back and neck and touching his leg, describing the interaction as flirtatious. Another teacher said the student ate lunch in her room every day, prosecutors said.

The vice principal later brought the police into the matter in June.

The student's mother was also growing concerned as her daughter had seen her son sitting in the teacher's car and he was constantly on his phone late at night, prosecutors said.

He also reportedly talked to a friend about his relationship with Havemann-Niedrach.

'My son came to me in February of last year and told me that his friend was dating a teacher’s daughter,' Heather Kotler, a parent of victim's friend, told Jersey Shore Online.

'People were saying that the teacher was texting, that they were texting each other inappropriate pictures.'

Kotler reported what her son said to the school, who said they would investigation, but never got back to her, she told the outlet.

The principal reportedly approached the victim and told him to quiet the rumors or his phone would be confiscated, the outlet said. The student remained in the teacher's class until her arrest in June.

'This was something that all the eighth-grade students were talking about. If they were investigating, why was she still in the classroom?' Kotler told the outlet.

Havemann-Niedrach worked for the Freehold Borough School District since 2022, and has previously held positions at other New Jersey schools and in Philadelphia.
